Get a Free Quote Call (727) 300-6656The five steps
We connect Tulsa-area homeowners with independent, licensed local plumbing contractors for free, no-obligation quotes. The plumber you choose quotes, pulls any permit, and does the work directly with you.
Tell us what is going on
Fill in the free quote form or call. Say what you are seeing (a leak, no hot water, a slow drain, a sewer smell), where it is in the house, your ZIP code and how urgent it is. A photo of the water heater label or the leak helps a plumber price the job.
Your request goes to local plumbers
We pass your request to one or more independent plumbing contractors who serve your part of the Tulsa area. We usually reply the same day. There is no charge to you for the request and no obligation to hire anyone.
A contractor contacts you and quotes
The plumber contacts you directly, asks follow-up questions and may want to see the job before giving a firm price. Ask up front whether there is a service call or trip fee and what it covers.
Verify the license and city registration
Ask for the contractor's Oklahoma plumbing contractor license number and look it up on the Construction Industries Board's "Are They Licensed?" page. Ask whether they are registered with your city and whether they will pull the permit.
Get the price in writing, then decide
Compare written quotes if you have more than one. Once you choose, the contractor schedules the work, pulls any permit and does the job directly with you. Your agreement, payment and any warranty are between you and that contractor.

What to have ready before a plumber calls
- Where the main water shutoff is. If a pipe bursts, shutting off the main valve first limits the damage while you wait.
- The age and size of your water heater. The label on the tank usually shows both. The U.S. Department of Energy puts tank heaters at 10–15 years and tankless at about 20.
- Where your sewer cleanout is, if you know. A camera inspection usually starts there.
- When the problem started and whether it is getting worse.
- Your budget and timing. See typical ranges on the Tulsa plumbing cost guide.
Permits: who pulls them
In Tulsa, the Development Services Permit Center says "Only a Licensed tradesperson may apply for trade permits." The City's plumbing permit form lists water heaters, slab leaks, reroute piping, gas piping, backflow assemblies, water service and building waste lines, so a water heater replacement or a slab-leak repair is permitted work. The contractor you hire is the one who applies. Broken Arrow, Owasso, Bixby, Jenks, Sand Springs and Sapulpa each run their own permit office; see the Tulsa plumbing permits guide for details. This is general information, not legal advice.
Before you hire anyone
- Ask for the contractor's Oklahoma plumbing contractor license number. Oklahoma rules require it on contractors' ads, bids and contracts, with "OK" in front of it on both sides of work vehicles (OAC 158:30-5-3).
- Look it up on the Construction Industries Board's "Are They Licensed?" page.
- Ask whether they are registered with your city (Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso…). State law (59 O.S. §1020) requires it. Ask whether they will pull the permit.
- Get the price in writing before work starts.
- Smell gas? Leave the house first, then call 911 and Oklahoma Natural Gas at 800-458-4251.
If it is an emergency
You can request a quote any time. Many Tulsa plumbers offer after-hours service, usually at a higher rate. While you wait: for a burst pipe, shut off the main water valve. For a sewage backup, call City of Tulsa Sewer Operations at (918) 586-6999 or 311. For a gas smell, leave the house first, then call 911 and Oklahoma Natural Gas at 800-458-4251. More on urgent jobs is on the emergency plumber page.
What this service does not do
Tulsa Plumbing Pros is not a plumbing contractor, does not perform plumbing work, and holds no Oklahoma plumbing license. Each contractor is responsible for its own licensing, permits, insurance, pricing and work. Questions about how requests are handled are answered on the about page and the FAQ.
